Positive narratives against anti-gender rhetoric

Against the backdrop of the pervasive influence of anti-gender movements on gender equality and the prevention of gender-based violence across EU member states, this talk suggests developing comprehensive approaches that safeguard gender equality, including the fight against violence against women.

It proposes alternatives to anti-gender movements and strengthening European democratic principles. Finally, it gives recommendations for developing compelling positive narratives.

Andrea Peto is a Professor in the Department of Gender Studies at Central European University, Vienna, Austria, and a Doctor of Science at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
